Im 22 and have bad credit. Im in the middle of paying off the last of my credit card related debt. Its about 1500 dollars. I want to get a new credit card for emergancies and to start rebuilding good credit. Is there anyway to do that? And what credit company would you suggest that would approve me?
Answer:
Applying for a new credit card, in case of approval, will add to your credit score, but if you are short in money, it will be hard for you to pay it off. Not every credit card company or bank offers credit card applications for bad credit, but you can try such banks as Capital One, Orchard and First Premier bank. If you consider credit cards in our bad credit cards section, you are sure to find one for building your credit score, as there are different cards for different purposes and needs. It is very important, however, to read all the terms & conditions with a great deal of attention, to be sure what you will get if you apply for the card.

How can I stop companies from running automatic credit checks.
Answer:
If you mean pre-approved credit cards, credit agencies are permitted to sell your credit history information to credit card companies. In turn, you can choose not to get their credit card offers. When credit card companies check your report to determine your eligibility and you are tired of it, you can stop receiving offers for credit cards.
First of all, look at the fine print on their credit card offers. It should include information how you can prevent getting pre-selected credit card offers. Otherwise, you can apply to automated optout service run by the major 4 credit agencies. So you can stop all pre-approved mail that comes from these credit bureaus.
You can as well inform the credit agencies to stop including you on pre-screened lists sending them letters containing your name, SSN, mailing address and phone number. If you nevertheless decide to get one of the best credit cards, apply online at our site!

have applied & been approved for a credit card from Capital One Healthcare for a medical proceedure to be done for my son. I asked for $8000.00, & it was granted, but my interest rate is 19.99% to be paid back in 60 months. Iwas told that even if the full $8000.00 is not needed, my payments would still remain the same, it would just be paid off sooner. This interest rate is HIGH !! I'm afraid to keep applying for others because if I'm turned down, that hurts my credit. I/m also afraid others may not allow the high limit I need. Any advise for me ??
Answer:
This is a very ticklish question. If you decide to get a credit card with high APR, there rate is quite acceptable
for a good credit history. If you are not sure, try finding several credit cards with lower limits and lower rates
and be aware of late fees. Quite often the rate zooms if you miss a payment. Probably it will be easier to pay them off altogether. Otherwise, you can take a loan in a credit union, they usually offer better rates. You can also see our good credit cards. Apply for a better credit card online!

My son whom is 20 years old is stationed in Germany. My son only has a credit history of a local credit card. I am trying to help him find a better credit card for his tour over seas. Low APR & Foreign Transactions fee's. Any suggestions?
Answer:
The decisive question to you: is your son an official American resident? If he is, and doesn`t have any American credit cards, car loans or mortgages, he seems to have no credit history at all. In this case, he can count on getting just one of bad/no credit cards, issued by Orchard bank or First PREMIER bank. Some of credit cards of this category offer low APR for purchases and low rate for foreign exchange. Frequently there`s no credit account checking required, if you apply for one of these credit cards. Bad/no credit cards can help your son to build strong credit in due course of time and to afford credit cards with the most profitable terms in future. If your son doesn`t have American citizenship, he can apply just for credit card for making purchases here, in the USA, provided that he has at least good credit score.

i have excellent credit but am in debt of $75,000 in credit cards. Im making my monthly payments that are $1400. I need to cut that payment in half and still maintain my credit. I dont know where to begin to do this and I am hesitant to get involved with a debt consolidation firm, any suggestions? Thank you!
Answer:
AS you have excellent credit, you have more opportunities to make your credit payments easier. Anything connected with the terms of paying off credit should be discussed and solved with the bank.
You can ask a lower APR, if you have positive credit history and have been the bank's customer for a long time. You have such a right, but it doesn't certainly mean your bank will agree to it. You can tell them you will change the bank to make them do it.
As far as debt consolidation agencies are concerned, it's very risky to turn to such organizations, as your credit score is damaged in this case. But if you really feel in trouble you can apply to a reliable agency for that.
Think it all over, maybe you will have just to tighten you belt and pay you debt off as it is.

what is a apr
Answer:
APR stands for Annual Percentage Rate, which is the cost of your credit expressed as an annual rate. Some credit cards may have a lower APR than others. APR differs from credit card to credit card, it can be fixed or changed from month to month. Some companies may change your APR if you fail to make payments, or they may determine the APR based on your current credit history. Some credit card companies have an introductory rate for their APR, and after so many months this rate may go up dramatically. For people who might be on a tighter budget than most a low APR credit card is a definite. People who are planning on not paying their bill in full every month should look for a low APR credit card. Keep in mind though if you begin with a low APR that does not mean that it will always stay that way, creditors can choose to change your APR if they see that you are late on your payments or are not making payments at all, which hurts you in the end.
